Flight Mission Details
Flight to coordinate with ER-2 over the ARM site at Barrow; BRDF measurement over stratus cloud.
Flight Path, Timing, and Measurements
This flight, over the ARM site at Barrow, was coordinated with an ER-2 overpass of the area. Weather in the area at take-off was cool and overcast, with a continuous stratus deck providing cloud cover. Measurements started with a BRDF measurement over the stratus cloud in the vicinity of the ARM site. Skies were clear above the stratus deck .
TABLE
Following the BRDF measurement the aircraft flew straight-line paths (under the ER-2 flightpath) over the ARM site, above, beneath and occasionally through the cloud . The cloud was insufficiently thick to allow diffusion domain measurements.
